Advertiser FAQ

What is PostLinks.com?

PostLinks.com is a text link brokerage that allows webmasters to buy and sell text links. Our system supports 3 of the most effective link types; Article Posts, Contextual Links, and Comment Links.

What are the benefits of monthly link membership plans?

Many people prefer to rent link credits because they are more flexible than permanent links. When you rent credits, you purchase a block of credits that can be used as you need them. As your link-building needs change, you can easily remove links and reuse the credits for other sites or pages. Also, because you pay monthly for your credits, the monthly membership plans are much lower.

What happens if the Domain Authority of a blog changes?

Monthly Link Membership Plans
If you post links or articles on blogs and the Domain Authority of a blog changes, the system will automatically update the monthly cost of the link. If the Domain Authority goes to zero or the site is no longer indexed in Google, the blog is made inactive, all links/posts are removed, and the credits are returned to your account.

Permanent Link Membership Plans
Since Permanent Link credits are one-time purchases, credits are not adjusted when blog Domain Authority changes. If the Domain Authority goes to zero or the site is no longer indexed in Google, your link will be removed. Since all permanent links are created using queues, the lost link will automatically be replaced with a comparable link.

What kind of text links can I buy through PostLinks?

From your PostLinks Advertiser Control Panel, you can create and distribute the three most effective inbound link types:
  • Guest Posts – Post full-length articles with your links embedded in the keyword-heavy content.
  • Comments – Distribute short messages on relevant posts with your website linked from your chosen keyword phrases.
  • Contextual Links – Search our WordPress Publishers’ massive inventory of keyword phrases and link the keywords directly to your site.

What happens if one of my posted articles no longer exists?

Our system checks published posts regularly. If it finds that a post was deleted from a blog, it deletes the record from the system.

If you are on a Monthly Membership Plan and have "Queue Topping" enabled (it is enabled by default), the post will automatically be replaced by a comparable post. If you have chosen to disable Queue Topping, the credits will simply be returned to your account.

Queue Topping is required with Permanent Link Membership Plans, so the post will automatically be replaced with a comparable post for up to one year.

Are these links permanent?

PostLinks.com offers both Monthly and Permanent link membership plans.

Monthly Link Memberships
Monthly Link Memberships allow you to "rent" your link building credits. By renting credits, you can easily remove links and use them for other websites.

Permanent Link Memberships
Permanent Link Memberships allow you to purchase one-time credits that can be used to place permanent links. All links are created using advanced queuing functionality that allows you to specify the minimum and maximum Domain Authority of the sites and decide whether you want to place your links daily, weekly, or all-at-once. Then, if any links are removed, the link is automatically replaced with a comparable link for up to a year. For more information, click here.

What happens if I cancel a link?

Monthly Link Membership Plans
If you place a link on a publisher's site and then change your mind and remove it, the credits for the link will automatically be returned to your account. As an advertiser you are purchasing credits, not links. So, you can add and remove links as often as you like. Just keep in mind this will not help you from an SEO standpoint unless the links remain present for an extended period of time.

Permanent Link Membership Plans
With Permanent Link Membership Plans, you have up to 7 days to remove the link and have the credits returned to your account. If you remove the link after 7 days, you will not receive your credits. However, if the link is removed by the system because the link monitor cannot find it, the blog Domain Authority goes to 0, the blog is deindexed, or the Publisher leaves the network, the system will automatically replace the link with a comparable link for up to one year.

How can I spin anchor text and target URL's in an article?

Sometimes, you may want to use spintax to spin your anchor text or target URL's in your articles. There are a couple of different ways to do this.

Different anchor text for the same target URL
Enter the spintax for all of the anchor texts like this:
{keyword 1|keyword 2|keyword 3|keyword 4}
Then, highlight the entire list and click the link icon in the interface to turn the entire list into a link.

Different anchor text AND different target URL's
Enter the spintax for all of the anchor texts like this:
{keyword 1|keyword 2|keyword 3|keyword 4}
Then, highlight the first anchor text and click the link icon in the interface to turn it into a link. Do this for each keyword.

Using HTML

You can also use HTML to spin your links.

Type the HTML into your article in the PostLinks.com interface.

For example:

<a href="http://{www.domain1.com|domain2.com}">{keyword 1|keyword 2|keyword 3}</a>
Or:
{<a href="http://www.domain1.com">keyword 1</a>|<a href="http://www.domain2.com">keyword 2</a>}

The HTML code will be displayed and you may think it didn't work, but save the article anyway. When you save the article, the HTML will be converted into a link.

Open the article again and preview the article by clicking on the little magnifying glass. You will see that a random anchor text and target URL are chosen each time you preview the article.

How does article spinning work?

PostLinks' built-in article spinning allows you to use Spyntax in your articles in order to generate a unique version each time the article is published.

The PostLinks system recognizes the most common Spyntax formats.

The most common format is: {word1|word2}
PostLinks also supports:{word1~word2}

What are the benefits of permanent link membership plans?

With permanent link membership plans, you pay one-time for a block of credits that can be used to create links. Since, all permanent links are created using queues, our system will automatically replace any links that are removed for up to one year.

Can I promote adult sites with PostLinks.com?

At the request of our publishers, we do not allow adult article posts or links to adult sites in the PostLinks.com system.

Can I promote casino or gambling sites with PostLinks.com?

We do not allow advertisers to promote gambling and casino sites with Contextual or Comment links. If you wish to post gambling or casino links, please use the Article Posts functionality and choose the gambling (and only the gambling) category for your article post profile.

When a link queue is paused, will it continue to top off links that fall off?

By default, all queues "Top Off" which means that if a link is removed by you or the system, it will automatically be replaced with a comparable link. If you pause a queue, the queue will not be topped off. Later, if you "resume" the queue, missing links will be topped off.

Why are my links no follow?

All of our links on all of our products are dofollow. If you have specific examples then please feel free to forward them to info@postlinks.com. If they are indeed nofollow then we will delete them and suspend the publisher. If you are using comment links then sometimes the "Recent Comments" listed in the sidebar on these blogs will randomly show comments from throughout the blog and all of the outbound links (in this section) are no-follow by default. However, your actual comment links are dofollow.
